Pastoral Care and Counseling
University Ministry offers the opportunity for graduate and law students to seek spiritual guidance and/or spend time reflecting with a companion on where God is moving in their lives. Feeling anxiety about life direction, experiencing a particular loss or wanting to find more balance are just some of the many different times that a student might meet with a University Minister. Feel free to stop by the Graduate and Law Student Commons (SLP 401) to meet with Andrew McMillin, University Minister for Graduate and Law students or email him at mcmillin@sandiego.edu.
Theology on Tap
Theology on Tap is a fun and informal way to gather together with other grad students for food, drinks and community. Each month we focus on a different topic related to our faith and our relationship with God. Join us to meet fellow grad students and grow in faith together.

Service Opportunities
Inspired by the Gospel values and the Catholic Social Tradition, USD encourages students to serve with compassion, foster peace and engage in social change. In this spirit, University Ministry offers graduate students opportunities to connect with others in solidarity including Tijuana day trips and Rachel’s Women’s Center.
“Breaking Ground” Tijuana Day Trips
Come serve with us as we help with a physical work project and interact with our partner community of La Morita. In the afternoon we build relationships through home visits and visiting at Casa Memorias- an HIV/AIDS hospice facility. We complete our day by traveling to the border fence and engaging in conversation and reflection regarding border issues and human dignity. Passport required. These trips fill up fast! If interested please email Andrew McMillin at mcmillin@sandiego.edu (indicate your name, contact information and your grad program).
