Former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela died on Tuesday, December 5th. When he became president, he invited one of his white wardens, who had overseen a portion of his 27 years in prison, to the inauguration. Best known for his role in ending Apartheid, Mandela is one of the great icons of the power of forgiveness, reconciliation and non-violence. To read more about his legacy, click here.
