About Us

The University of San Diego (USD), established in 1949, is “a Roman Catholic institution committed to advancing academic excellence, expanding liberal and professional knowledge, creating a diverse and inclusive community, and preparing leaders dedicated to ethical conduct and compassionate service.”  USD is a CUR enhanced institutional member and has a long-standing commitment to engaging undergraduates from all disciplines in research/scholarly activities.  2015 will not only mark the 25th anniversary for USD’s Creative Collaborations-Undergraduate Research Conference but the 4th anniversary for the Office of Undergraduate Research which was envisioned in the first phase of USD’s Strategic Plan/Direction in 2003.
