Tom Burke served as the Vice President for Student Affairs for 28
years. During that time, he exhibited the following traits and values
which helped shape Student Affairs at USD:

centered, respectful, good listening abilities, focused on employee
and student development, competent, consistently supported the University’s
religious tradition, helped students and employees to fulfill the
potential within them, and gave the gift of love to others.
