Information Center

The Caster Family Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Research (Caster Center) is currently compiling materials for a resource center that includes the following components:

  • A database of nonprofit activity throughout California within San Diego County
  • Annual reports updating the “vital statistics” of the sector
  • A library of reference materials and best-practice projects completed by students in the program: sample board manuals, personnel policy manuals, volunteer manuals, by-laws, etc.
  • Periodicals pertaining to nonprofit research, management, and leadership.

Nonprofit Data

The Caster Center can provide names, addresses, financial and salary data related to San Diego nonprofits. To request data, please complete and submit the request for data form. Fees for data reports are calculated on a case-by-case basis depending on the scope of the work requested.

Consulting Services

Standards for Excellence Institute

The Caster Center also provides services to the nonprofit sector on a fee-for-service basis. Areas of expertise include environmental scans, evaluations and a host of projects tailored to your needs.  The Center is standards-certified in consulting with the Standards for Excellence Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector. Our certified consultants include the following faculty and staff members:

  • Pat Libby, M.S.
