Manchester Village Apartments

Manchester VillageContinuous occupancy (including Christmas Break, Intersession and Spring Break) is available at no additional expense in Manchester Village to residents that stay for the full academic year. The design of Manchester Village responds to student requests for apartments with single occupancy bedrooms. The apartments have either four single bedrooms or two double bedrooms with shared bathrooms, living and dining areas and full-size kitchens. Each bedroom is wired for phone and cable television. Manchester Village includes study rooms, a laundry room, a vending area and two levels of underground parking.

Manchester Desk Information
The Manchester front desk is located in the lobby of building two. The front desk staff encodes room key cards, takes messages, gives information, provides vacuums and other sundries for residents. You can reach the the front desk at (619) 849-5555 or extension 5555.

Manchester Group Study Lounge/ Lounges
There are study lounges on each floor and a variety of lounges on the first floor, including a group study room and a multi-purpose room with a large screen TV.


Manchester Fitness Room
There is a fitness room located on the first floor of Manchester with cardio equipment, strength training and more. Hours are posted on the door, and only Manchester residents are allowed entry with their Onity card.


Laundry Facilities
The Laundry Facilities are on the first floor. The cost for a load of laundry in the washer is $1.25 and dryers are $.50. You need to purchase a laundry card for $2.00, but you can replinsh the card through the card dispenser as needed. The card dispenser accepts debit and credit cards.


Manchester Village Community Director

Justine Darling is the Community Director for Manchester Village. Justine grew up in Los Angeles, California and has travelled and lived all over the world, including Italy, Mexico, Northern Ireland, El Salvador, Guatemala, Rwanda Africa, and Haiti. She is an alumni of USD with a BA in Psychology and Master’s degree in Peace and Justice Studies. She lives in Manchester Village and loves living on campus! As Community Director, Justine is responsible for overseeing the building, ensuring safety, providing education, and handling facility issues in the building. Manchester Village has seven highly qualified Resident Assistants (RAs) who work closely with the Community Director, are responsible for a respective floor and serve as excellent resources for any questions regarding community building, programming, forms, checkout, and quiet hours/policy enforcement.

Justine's office is located in Manchester Village on the first floor of building 2 next to the welcome desk. Her office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, or by appointment. Like many other staff across campus, Justine has other commitments during the day and may not be in her office. Please email her at or call her at extension 5001 to set up an appointment.
