Dr. Michelle Gilmore-Grier (University of California, San Diego, 1993) is professor of philosophy. Her main research interests are in the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, History of Modern Philosophy, and post-Kantian European philosophy. In addition to Introduction to Philosophy and Philosophy of Human nature, she regularly teaches courses on Kant, Hegel, Heidegger and Nietzsche. She is currently working on the role of reason in Kant's moral and aesthetic theories, and on Nietzsche's conception of autonomy.
