Mieczyslaw P. Boduszyñski is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his B.A. in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, and his M.A. at the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently finishing his dissertation, which is a comparison of democratization in the Yugoslav successor states. During the 2001-2002 academic year he was a Fulbright and IREX scholar in the area of the former Yugoslavia, conducting research for his dissertation. He is also a five-time Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow. His research and teaching interests include Comparative Politics, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Japan, democratization, and ethnic politics.
