Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice

Institute Programs

The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice offers students and the community three programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge of peace and justice processes, policy, practice, and advocacy. These programs are:

  • Women PeaceMakers: documents the stories and best practices of international women leaders in peacebuilding.
  • WorldLink: connects youth to global affairs and provides opportunities for them to meet world leaders and experts.
  • Distinguished Lecture Series: a forum for high-level national and international leaders and policy makers to share their knowledge and perspectives.

All three programs help:

  • Educate and inform.
  • Build the capacity of individuals and groups so they are included in decision-making processes that promote human rights, democracy, peace, and justice.
  • Empower civil society to prevent, resolve and transform conflict for sustainable peace.
