Faculty

USD Paralegal Program faculty are committed to the training and use of paralegals. Faculty have experience practicing in the field in which they teach and are carefully selected by the administration based on educational background, excellent teaching skills, legal experience and a dedication to the goals of the program and the paralegal profession. Faculty are regularly evaluated by the students and administrators. Student surveys rank faculty as one of the greatest strengths of the program. PATRICIA BRENNAN, LLB., Trinity College Dublin School of Law, 1991; Admitted to California State Bar, 1999. Currently Corporate Counsel for Verimatrix Inc.

ROBERT DEKOVEN, J.D., California Western School of Law, 1983; Admitted to California State Bar, 1984.  Currently a Legal Research Professor at California Western School of Law.

LINDA GREENBERG, J.D., California Western School of Law, 1986.  Admitted to the California State Bar, 1988.  Currently in private practice specializing in family law.

WILLIAM HOLMAN, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law , Admitted to the State Bar of California 1970.  Currently in private practice with an emphasis in appellate matters.

JANE HOPPER, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law, 1987. Admitted to the California State Bar 1987.  Currently in private practice with an emphasis in civil litigation.

KAREN HORN, J.D., California Western School of Law, 1988; Admitted to the California State Bar, 1988. Currently a sole practitioner specializing in family law.

BETTY HOWARD, B.A., George Fox University; completed University of San Diego Paralegal Program, 1991. Employed at the Law Offices of Golper & Sullivan as an office manager and litigation paralegal.

DAVID LAMB, JD: University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, 1998. Admitted to the California State Bar, 1998. Currently Deputy Public Defender, San Diego Public Defender’s Office.

MEREDITH LEWIS, J.D., California Western School of Law 2003; Admitted to the State Bar of California 2003. Currently with the Law Offices of Lugar and Pohl as an associate.

THOMAS LINCOLN, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law, 1980.  Admitted to the California State Bar, 1980.  Currently a Partner at Lincoln, Gustafson & Cercos LLP.

AGUSTIN LOPEZ, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law 2001; Admitted to the State Bar of California, 2002. Currently Director of the Administrative Hearing Program with the University of San Diego School of Law, Adjunct Professor USD Law School's Agency Intership and Mediation Internship Programs, and sole practitioner focusing on civil litigation.

ROBERT MADRUGA, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law, 1965. Admitted to the California State Bar, 1966. Retired from the Deputy District Attorney, Real Estate Fraud Unit..

CRAIG MCMAHON, J.D., Thomas Jefferson School of Law, 1980.  Admitted to the California State Bar, 1981.  Currently a Partner at the Law Offices of Kimball, Tirey and St. John.

KIM MINDEN, B.A., National University. Training coordinator and software support previously with Latham and Watkins.

AMANDA MINEER, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law, Admitted to the State Bar of California, 2004. Currently in private practice focusing on Business Law, Estate Planning and Intellectual Property.

EMILY LYNCH MORISSETTE, J.D., California Western School of Law, 1999; Admitted to California State Bar 2001. Currently in private practice.

CHRISTOPHER OBERLE, J.D., University of California Hastings College of Law, 1977; Admitted to California State Bar, 1977. Currently a sole practitioner emphasizing business and real estate transactions, estate planning and probate.

NILES SHARIF, J.D., University of Texas School of Law at Austin 1988; Admitted to the State Bar of California, 1988. Currently in private practice focusing on state and federal litigation.

CATHERINE STEPHENSON, J.D., University of San Diego School of Law, 1983.  Admitted to the California State Bar, 1983.  Retired from the San Diego District Attorney's Office.

JUSTIN WIELAND, J.D., California Western School of Law, 2007.  Admitted to the California State Bar, 2008.  Currently a sole practitioner specializing in civil law and motion work.
