SPECWAR Club
This semester was very successful for the SpecWar club. Having the first goal of integrating some new workout techniques and gaining outside advice, we were able to accomplish both of these things and broaden our workout routines. We also had a guest Search and Rescue (SAR) swimmer from North Island visit and provide valuable swimming advice during one of our workouts. Our biggest event this semester was the Superfrog Triathlon. Again, this event was a great success. Not only did the club recruit over 20 volunteers from our unit, but it also set up two relay teams to compete in the event. The relay members were all part of the SpecWar club. All of the volunteers provided over 120 volunteer hours for the event. Before this summer session is through, a meeting with an EOD officer is being planned along with a pizza party at the USD pool for our last event of the summer.
