Academic Technology Services (ATS) is an integral part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) service organization. ATS consists of the following teams:
- Computing Labs
- Desktop Support Services
- Instructional Design and Training
- Instructional Media Services
- Policy and Standards
- Web Services
USD uses the Banner Student System. Faculty view class rosters, submit course grades, and obtain student information for advising purposes using Banner. Most faculty will access Banner through the MySanDiego portal. Students also use the portal, and many of the services of the One Stop Student Center are available on-line through the portal.

The STA program offers faculty members assistance in the use of educational technology in the curriculum. Academic Technology Services, will work with you to identify projects as well as find qualified students savvy in the use of technology.
The Telecommunications department is responsible for providing a broad range of modern communications services including phone service, voice mail, cable TV and data/network connections for faculty, staff and students in residence halls.
