Patron Suggestion
October 18, 2004
I would like to suggest examining your wireless network throughout the library. It is very erratic. In some places it works, others it doesn’t. Then sometimes where it works, it will stop working. I think you need some repeating antennas or something to really strengthen the signal.
Thanks!

Our Electronic Services Division and the University’s Telecommunications Department are working on the problems that you describe. They tell me that we need more access points for the network, and they hope to be able to install those soon. Currently, they suggest that patrons using wireless connections working from the main Information Services area or from the Reading Room. I hope that you will soon be able to enjoy uninterrupted wireless access from as many library locations as possible.
