Professor Nancy Carol Carter has written extensively on issues related to law libraries and Native American law. From 2001-2003, she won national awards for an article titled "American Indians and Law Libraries." It was later selected as one of the 25 "essential" articles published in Law Library Journal's 100-year history. She was named a Hertzog endowed scholar in 1988-89 and a university professor in 2001-2002.
