Professor Potter teaches courses in legal writing and research.
Professional Experience
Potter clerked for Nadine Strossen, president of the American Civil Liberties Union and was a summer associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. He was later associated with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in Los Angeles. He was a C.V. Starr Lecturer of Law at Peking University School of Transnational Law in Shenzhen, China, where he taught legal discourse for two years. Potter is an active member of the State Bar of California. He joined USD School of Law in 2011.
Honors and Affiliations
Potter received the Flora S. & Jacob L. Newman Prize upon graduation from New York University School of Law and was editor-in-chief of the New York University Review of Law & Social Change.
