Congratulations to Stephanie Siordia for being awarded this year the Alcala Senior Award!

The award is giving during commencement to one senior woman and one senior man who exemplify the wholistic education that USD wants their students to enter the world with. 

For the second year in a row an Ethnic Studies Major has won the award.

Congratulations Stephanie!

Her future plans are to start training on June 22 with Teach for America as an early childhood education teacher in the Los Angeles region.  She will also be starting the Master's program for early childhood education teachers through Cal State Dominguez Hills.  After her two year commitment, possibly more, her goal is to pursue a Ph. D. in Ethnic Studies.                                   

Her cumulative G.P.A is a 3.51. 

Double major in Ethnic Studies and Political Science with a minor in Spanish.
