SANDAG Internship Opportunity

SANDAG’s Mobility Management division has an internship opening. The selected candidate will assist staff with the oversight of various transportation capital improvement projects throughout the region.

This is a one-year maximum internship opportunity. The intern will be expected to devote 20 hours per week to the internship.

Responsibilities include knowledge of basic Mechanical Engineering techniques, drafting, blueprint reading and general office duties.   Develop and assist in implementing projects and procedures that ensure quality engineering standards.
Duties include assisting supervisors in making recommendations and assisting in overall project completion and management. Participating in auditing engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree,.  Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior with an anticipated graduation date of May or June 2008, 2009.   2 years or more of general work experience required.

SAME
Society of American Military Engineers
San Diego Post

The San Diego Chapter of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) will grant between 5 and 10 scholarships to local college and university engineering students in 2008. The scholarship will range in value from $1000 to $5000 and are awarded exclusively to individuals pursuing a degree in Engineering.

nrotc Tweeddale Scholarships

Here is a fantastic scholarship for students majoring in engineering and hard sciences. The NROTC Tweeddale Scholarship covers 100% of the cost of tuition and fees. The scholarship recipient will also receive a monthly stipend starting at $250 per month in their freshman year and increasing to $400 per month in their Senior year. We also provide a stipend for books.

Electrical Engineers Make a World of Difference!

As an electrical engineer, how could you  contribute to solving a significant problem  facing today’s world?

Through the generosity of several corporate donors, the USD EE program has up to $6000 to award to students as scholarships!
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must
•             Have a USD GPA of at least 3.0
•             Be a declared EE major (you may declare as part of your scholarship application)
•             Have completed at least 30 units at USD (sophomore or junior only)

Hewlett Packard

There are opportunities to get new college grad jobs (4) and summer internships (2) at Hewlett Packard in Roseville, CA.  Candidates must have authorization to work in the US. One of our alums would be happy to forward good candidate’s resumes to the hiring manager.

For the new college grad positions, you need to graduate by May or have completed in the past year. Forward their resume AND  apply online to req #182462.
