Information for Prospective Faculty & Staff
Tenure-Track Faculty Positions: We currently have no openings for tenure-track faculty positions and are not accepting applications at this time
Adjunct (Part-Time) Faculty Positions:
Adjunct faculty must have earned at least a Masters degree and it is preferable that they have a doctorate in an appropriate engineering field. We have a relatively small department and typically have only a few openings for adjunct positions for specific required courses already part of the curriculum. We do not offer evening or Saturday classes. 3-unit lecture courses typically meet one hour on MWF. Laboratory sections are typically 3 hours and offered in the afternoons 2:30-5:20 pm or on Tues or Thursday morning. When writing to express interest in adjunct teaching, please include a vita and the USD course numbers and names for those courses you are qualified to teach. (A complete listing of courses can be found in the Engineering Programs portion of USD’s undergraduate bulletin. <link to http://www.sandiego.edu/bulletin> E-mail your inquiry and materials to usdengr@sandiego.edu.
