Dr. Kathleen A. Kramer is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Director of Engineering Programs at the University of San Diego. Author or co-author of 60 publications, her teaching and research interests are in the areas of digital systems, multisensor data fusion, and communications systems. A senior member of IEEE, she is a Past Chair of the IEEE San Diego Section and serves as a Program Evaluator for the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Her leadership activities include serving on regional executive committees of IEEE and SWE and departmental advisory boards at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Loyola Marymount University.
She received her MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and her BS in Electrical Engineering (with a second major in Physics) from Loyola Marymount University. She has worked as a Member of Technical Staff doing research at several companies including ViaSat, Hewlett Packard, and Bell Communications Research.
