VISION 2008

We are a recognized local, state, and national leader in community development partnerships and student leadership development, building engaged communities.

In partnership with the community, USD students, faculty, staff, and alumni serve as catalysts for significant growth and social change through service, activism, experiential learning, research, and publication.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members learn with ever expanding resources through our highly interactive educational center for community service-learning.

Cross-cultural competency:  …appreciate and analyze ones’ own cultural background, compare to the cultures of others, and differentiate between histories of cultural groups.

Life-long commitment:  …generate a commitment to social responsibility, analyze social responsibility in terms of career and vocation, and implement these plans as alumni.

Ethical leadership:  ….understand and apply personal values and leadership skills, communicate effectively to facilitate group vision, generate group plans, and execute group plans.
