Students - Getting Started with Clickers

“I felt that the clickers really helped me learn from my mistakes, and helped keep the class involved in the material.”

If you have learned that one or more of your instructors will be using clickers in class this Fall semester, here is what you need to know:

  • Purchase your clicker at the USD Bookstore along with your text books and materials. Clickers come bundled (a clicker unit along with a registration) and can be purchased one of two ways:
    • Single semester bundle: $35
    • Lifetime bundle: $49
    • (Replacement clickers can be purchased for $25 in the event of loss or damage)

Important Notes:

  • First: Do not attempt to activate or register your clicker until you attend class and receive directions from your instructor.
  • Second: The registration code that you receive with your bundle will be used to activate your clicker, so be sure to put it in a safe place!
  • Be sure to have your clicker with you each time you attend class. It's a good idea to also have two spare AA batteries with you.
