Saba Oskoui, MFA
Associate Professor, Visual Arts
Saba Oskoui established the Visual Communications and the Computer Art areas of emphasis at the University of San Diego. In addition to her teaching, Oskoui has served as the Visual Arts Program coordinator and the Design Internship coordinator. She is one of the Visual Arts senior thesis advisors, and the coordinator for the Visual Arts junior reviews. Oskoui oversees the Visual Communications area of emphasis at the Department of Art.

Scholarly and Creative Work
In her creative work, Oskoui has been exploring issues relating to cultural identity, migration, displacement, and life in a bicultural environment. Her creative work includes design, mixed-media art, poetry, photography, artists’ books and installation art. Oskoui has worked on various art and design commissions. Her creative work has been exhibited at one-person and group exhibitions at galleries, museums and nonprofit venues.
Teaching Interests
Oskoui’s teaching at the university has included courses in foundation design, visual communications, book arts, computer art and digital imaging. She has supervised various independent study projects in visual communications, computer art, design of children’s books, digital imaging, artists’ books, and installation art.
