Student Instructions

The On-Campus Interviewing Program offers USD students and recent alumni the opportunity to interview with participating employers.

Please take a few minutes to read the USD Career Services Privacy Policy, if you wish to know how your personal and private information will and will not be used.

Accessing On-Campus Interviewing Schedules

From the “My ToreroLink Services” page you can access the on-campus interviewing schedule by selecting “On-Campus Interviews and Employer Presentations” located on the left side of the page.

Uploading your Resume

You can have up to 10 resumes in the system at any time. This means you can tailor resumes to fit several different types of jobs for which you might apply.
1. Make sure to read the USD Career Services Privacy Policy before you upload a resume.
2. At the “Manage My Documents” page, click on “Resumes.”
3. If you haven’t put a resume into the system, select the link “Click here to upload a resume.”
4. Find your resume on your computer. You can type in the address or click the browse button to search your computer. When you find your resume, highlight the name of your resume and click open.
5. In the next box, give your resume a descriptive name. Be sure you give your resume a professional-sounding name—potential employers will see the name of your document.
6. Click “Upload Resume.”
7. You will return to the “Resumes” page where you will see that your resume has been listed.

Applying for Interview Opportunities

From the “My ToreroLink Services” page, click on “On-Campus Interviews and Employer Presentations.” You will be linked to the On-Campus Interviewing Schedules page, where you can begin your search.

To get the most comprehensive results, simply select “Search” located toward the bottom of the page. You will be linked to the results page which will list employers and interview dates. Click on the date adjacent to the desired employer to access the interviewing schedule.

After you have reviewed the interviewing schedule, select the “position title” adjacent to the “Click here to view job” heading located toward the top of the page. You will be linked to a page where you may review the job description.

Toward the end of the job description, look for the “How to apply” heading. Clicking on the link under the “How to apply” heading will take you to the “System Application” page.

From this page, select your resume and other appropriate items to be included in your application for this position. When you are finished, click the “Send Application” link at the bottom of the page to forward this to the employer for consideration. Note: If the sign-up or resume submission deadline has passed, contact us at (619) 260-4654.
