Undergraduate Education

At the undergraduate level, students majoring in Business Administration may declare a minor in Real Estate, which is designed to support and enhance the education provided by other courses and/or majors in the University. Most of the upper-division courses meet the salesperson and broker licensing requirements by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE).
The minor in Real Estate requires a minimum of the following 18 units:
Lower-division required courses (6 units)
ECON 101 - Principles of Microeconomics
ACCT 201 - Principles of Financial Accounting
Upper-division required courses (9 units)
REAL 320 - Principles of Real Estate
REAL 327 - Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Choose one of the following for an upper-division required course:
REAL 325 - Financing Residential Real Estate (prerequisite: FINA 300)
REAL 494 - Commercial Real Estate Finance and Investment (prerequisite: FINA 300)
Upper-division elective courses (3 units)
Select one from the following electives:
ECON 329 - Real Estate Economics
REAL 325 - Financing Residential Real Estate (prerequisite: FINA 300)
