The Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate

The University of San Diego’s Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate was founded in 1993, became the Real Estate Institute in 1998, and was re-named with an endowment gift in September 2004. The Center's mission is to deliver outstanding education, industry outreach, career services and cutting-edge research to advance socially responsible leadership in real estate.

The Burnham-Moores Center staff and affiliated faculty are actively expanding USD’s academic curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels while simultaneously creating a wide range of career-oriented opportunities for students outside of the classroom. All of the center’s initiatives are industry-oriented and attempt to maximize students’ opportunities to get involved directly in the real estate industry, both in the classroom and in extracurricular programs.

As a Center of Excellence within the University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration, the Burnham-Moores Center’s mission is to create exceptional value for the real estate professionals of today and tomorrow through personalized education and career services, industry support, research, and the promotion of socially responsible leadership.

COURSEWORK

The Center provides course offerings to real estate professionals at all levels of career development through our various academic programs. Our world-class faculty, coupled with our extensive network of industry contacts, provides students with a one-of-a-kind educational experience that positions them for success. CONFERENCES
Each year, the Center brings together over 2,000 industry and civic professionals through our numerous conferences. Flagship events include our Annual Real Estate Conference, our Residential Real Estate Conference and our distinguished lecture series, Breakfast at the BMC.

CONNECTIONS
The Burnham-Moores Center has unparalleled connections within the San Diego real estate community and beyond. Each year, more than 100 industry professionals serve as guest lecturers in our undergraduate, graduate and continuing education classes. Our four Policy Advisory Board committees are made up of over 100 real estate professionals, who provide invaluable services to our students through internships, mentorships and job opportunities.
