All undergraduate students belong to the Associated Students (AS) of the University of San Diego. The Associated Students is a self-governing group acting under the authority given by its approved Associated Students' Constitution. The Associated Students' Leadership Team is a group of appointed undergraduate students that serve as directors and senators overseen by the Associated Students' Executive Board. Each director of senator has a committee that anyone in the student body can participate in. If you are interested in joining a committee, contact the director or senator regarding the specific position that you are interested in or the Associated Students office.

Responsible for marketing and promoting all AS sponsored events. The Vice President of Marketing strives to increase awareness for student life on campus. This is done through chairing Marketing Board.

Responsible for coordinating club registration and budget process, as well as chairing the Inter-Club Council (ICC), where student organizations receive information for their clubs on campus.
Student Issues Board
The Student Issues Board is chaired by the AS Vice President of Student Issues. The board meets weekly and discusses important student issues and works towards finding solutions. This group serves as a liaison between the students and administration on representative issues. The Student Issues Board includes: Vice President of Academics and the following individuals:

Program Board
The Program Board is chaired by the Vice President of Programming. The Board meets bi- weekly to discuss, plan and organize a varied program of co-curricular activities for the University. Committees are open to any interested students. Input from students is encouraged to express what is needed for a successful calendar of social events. The Program Board consists of the following individuals:

Responsible for academic issues including academic programming such as College Bowls.

Responsible for editing the literary magazine, Ignite , and for coordinating the popular Café Asylum. The Director of the Arts also does on-campus arts performances, along with promoting off-campus cultural events such as symphony trips and Old Globe Theatre performances.

Responsible for keeping students informed of all sporting activities and for coordinating activities such as pep rallies, tailgates and bus trips to “away” events.

Responsible for planning and presenting dance, band and concert entertainment.

Responsible for planning and presenting entertainers on campus in an informal social setting such as the Thursday Night Comedy series.
Multicultural Relations Board
The Multicultural Relations Board is chaired by the Vice President of Multicultural Relations. The Multicultural Relations Board meets bi-weekly to organize a variety of multicultural programs throughout the calendar year for all students and the outside community. Committees are open to any interested students, and input is always welcome in putting on events and discussion of multicultural issues.

Marketing Board
The Marketing Board is chaired by the Vice President of Marketing, and its purpose is to accurately publicize and promote AS-sponsored events and those of approved clubs and organizations on campus.

Responsible for publicizing events and assisting programmers in designing and implementing marketing and publicity campaigns.

Responsible for organizing and operating the various student elections (i.e. Freshman Senators, Homecoming Court, next year's AS officers) and updating and upholding the election bylaws throughout the year.

Responsible for publishing the AS calendar, relaying information to the larger USD community, establishing contact with corporations interested in supporting AS programs.

Student Senate
Chair: Matt Thelen, President
The executive officers of the Associated Students are elected annually by the student body. They, along with eight senators (two elected students from each class) and 16 representatives from various clubs and organizations, form the Student Senate, which serves as the focal point of student opinion. The responsibilities of the Senate include representing student views to the administration, administering the AS funds, discussing and acting on academic or administrative policies that affect students and planning activities for students. In addition, they appoint students to University committees to further represent student interests. All AS officers hold weekly office hours (posted in AS office) for availability to the students.
Traffic Court
Chair: Director of Transportation
Any undergraduate or graduate student may appeal a parking or traffic citation, including towing, to the student court. Appeal forms may be picked up in the Public Safety Office and should be filled out completely and then returned to that office. The Traffic Court is composed of the Traffic Court Judge and additional jurors. The Traffic Court shall have appellate jurisdiction in matters of traffic and parking violations occurring on the University of San Diego campus. The jurisdiction of the Traffic Court reviewing appeals of traffic and parking violations is governed by the Traffic Appeals Court Charter.
Inter-Club Council
Chair: Brandon Silvia, VP of Student Orgs
The Inter-Club council allows a time for all clubs and organization to collaborate, exchange ideas, and communicate with Associated Students.
Budget Committee
Chair: Matt Bowersox , VP of Finance
The Budget Committee consists of the Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Programming, Secretary of Student Organizations, Controller, Auditor, Senators and Students-at-Large. All requests from registered student organizations and Program Board must be reviewed by the Budget Committee.
Honor Council
Chair: Mindy Ehren
The honor council has been charged by the president of the University to promote academic integrity and honor on the campus.
