'Aikane O Hawai'i

Our next General Body meeting will be on Thursday, March 13 at 12:15 p.m. in Serra 214B!

‘Aikane O Hawai'i is a student organization committed to promoting and perpetuating the Pacific Islander Culture at the University of San Diego and the San Diego community.  ‘Aikane means “friend”, translating our name to “Friend(s) of Hawai'i”.  Our membership is open to all undergraduate students at USD, of all races, nationalities, ethnicities, and cultures.  Our members strive to learn from and teach one another about our different cultures by sharing our traditions and life experiences.  Our organization began in the early 90's but due to a decline in membership, became inactive until 2002.  During that year, a group of students and a staff member at USD brought ‘Aikane O Hawai'i back to life.  Four years later, ‘Aikane O Hawai'i has grown to over 40 members and our annual Lu'au has become the event of the year! Mahalo for your continued support!
