DEFINE SUCCESS: proposed objectives for this time period

  • Initial understanding of Catholic social teaching
  • Gain awareness of CST curriculum, events, and resources
  • Beginning integration of CST themes into programming, awareness, curriculum and administrative best practices

DISCOVERY: summarize the current situation

  • Analyze and present data from off-campus survey and on-campus inventory
  • Identify needs on campus and make plan suggestions for 2007-08

DEVELOP PLAN: proposed timeline with dates

  • Develop reports from off-campus survey and on-campus inventory
  • Post reports and data on CST website
  • Address continuity of committee membership by requesting replacements from deans and vice presidents
September Solicit feedback on Campus Conversations plan and present survey and inventory findings through:
  • Faculty & Curriculum Development Program: CST at USD and Other Catholic Universities
  • Launch Event: Overview of Catholic Social Teaching
October Promote and support:
  • Center for the Study of Latino/a Catholicism's presentation
  • Center for Christian Spirituality's "Signs of the Times Dialogue"

  • Promote and support Social Issues Conference
  • Sponsor faculty/staff panel on specific CST principle(s)
February
  • Promote and support the Center for Christian Spirituality's annual lecture
  • Sponsor major event (Bioethics)

  • Sponsor presentation on specific CST principle(s)
  • Promote and support Faculty & Curriculum Development Program's session on a CST theme
