We felt equally committed to all of the initiatives, and so across all of them, we feel that most important contributions we can make are:
- Continuing to participate on the committees and task forces
- Ensuring expanded involvement and participation on these teams and encouraging our colleagues to recognize that this is an open process
- Finding ways to increase and institutionalize communication between groups as well as to the public. This is essential to sustaining momentum and building positive energy.

Catholic Social Thought - theory vs. practice:
- How can these ideas apply to the work of Academic Affairs inside and outside the classroom?
- Explore the relationship between CST and a values-based education. This is a unique part of our university mission and can help set USD apart.
Internationalization:
- Inventory of current activities and practices
- Building bridges/connections among these activities and programs
- Go beyond current activities, programs and structures already in place—use them as a basis to identify new and innovative ways to reach new external constituencies in an effort to develop a globally competent institution.

Provide leadership to the Finance and Administration division to bridge the gap between thought/knowledge and implementation of committee recommendations towards the evolution of a divisional culture. Examples are:
- Human Resources: recruitment, retention, and training that promotes and supports diversity and inclusion
- Public Safety: develop and implement safety awareness programs within the FYE orientation week
- Identify, support, and recognize volunteer efforts within the community by the F&A staff

- Assure that accreditation and assessment processes incorporate strategic initiatives
- Link first-year experience with internationalization, diversity, CST

- Overall training of faculty/staff regarding dignity of the individual
- Include foreign visitors into overall university activities (and orientation)
- Assure at a School/College level that faculty and students are aware and participate in these initiatives—assure importance to the Dean
