Mass Schedule for Founders Chapel:
Sundays: 7 and 9 p.m.(while classes are in session.)
Weekdays: Monday - Friday, 12:15 p.m. (year-round except for USD holidays.)
Mass For Peace: 9 p.m. each Wednesday (while classes are in session.) .
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Monday-Friday (while classes are in session) from 11:45 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the confessional in the front vestibule of Founders Chapel. You may also make an appointment by calling (619) 260-4735 or 260-2263.

Wedding celebrations of Faculty, Staff, Administrators, Current Students or Alumni may contact the UM Wedding Coordinator, Darlene Polak, at

You can be of service to the Founders Chapel community by volunteering for one of the following roles:
- Ministers of the Eucharist distribute the Eucharist to the community at Mass; some serve as Ministers of the Bread, others as ministers of the Cup.
- Ministers of the Altar (Servers) prepare the altar and assist the priest at Mass.
- Ministers of Hospitality help create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and meet the assembled community's needs.
- Ministers of Music, the Founders Chapel Choir and musicians, lead the community in song. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evening.
- Minister of the Word read Scripture Readings and Prayers of the Faithful during Masses.
Training for Ministers of the Word, Altar, Hospitality or Eucharist is approximately one hour long and is arranged according to students' schedules. All sessions are held in Founders Chapel. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire and a commitment to serve. Contact Mary Kruer for more information at 619-260-5903.
