We welcome your interest in employment with the University of San Diego . The USD job line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at (619) 260-4626. Current job openings are posted every Monday on the Human Resources bulletin boards and under the Job Opportunities section of our web site.

Application Procedure

Applications are accepted for current posted vacancies only. We do not accept or acknowledge unsolicited applications.

Full-time, part-time and temporary position application may include a cover letter and résumé however a USD application must be submitted to be considered as an applicant. The USD application form is available on line through the Job Opportunities section.

Your cover letter should clearly describe your skills and experience in relationship to the position responsibilities and qualifications listed in the job posting. Professional positions require a cover letter, resume and two professional references. Please reference the job line, online postings or the Human Resources Bulletin Board for additional requirements.

Applications may be turned in at Human Resources until 5:00 p.m. on the posted closing date. Please do not send applications directly to the contact in the hiring department. A separate application is required for each job number. Please be sure the application is completed in full before submitting it to Human Resources. Interview Process

Successful candidates will be interviewed by a department representative and may be interviewed by Human Resources. It normally takes three to four weeks after the closing date for identification of the final selection of the candidates. Inquiries regarding status of the job may be made after three weeks after the posted closing date.

Applicants that are offered a position at the University of San Diego must present documents proving identity and the legal right to work in the United States . USD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Faculty Positions

Full time faculty positions are posted in The Chronicle for Higher Education, which is available at most libraries. If you are interested in a part-time faculty position, please send your curriculum vitae to the department chair of the particular department in which you are interested. If you wish to obtain the name of the department chair, please call (619) 260-4600 and ask the operator to connect you with that department.
