Casa de Alcala is the residence of the President of the University of San Diego. The residence features a large atrium/patio relating strongly to the living spaces that surround it. Post and beam construction, flagstone chimneys and a strong relationship of indoor to outdoor spaces, all point to contemporary California residential architecture born in the 1950s.
