The entire USD campus is equipped with the most advanced form of high-speed wireless Internet access available. Faculty and students off-campus can easily log in to the University's fiber optic network to access university resources and services. In June 2010, USD increased campus Internet bandwidth by more than 200 percent.

More than 550 online courses per semester – a full 25 percent of USD’s undergraduate and graduate courses – are offered through USD’s WebCT/Blackboard system. Rich online content supplements face-to-face interactions between students and faculty and expands understanding of traditional course material. USD also offers special lectures and course content on a massive streaming media server and through Apple’s iTunes University site.
Computer Labs and Laptop Check Out
USD provides more than 180 public-use computers (Macintosh and Windows) in eight labs and two Libraries across campus. Our largest computing lab, in Serra Hall, room 205, provides extra workspace around the computers. And students can check out laptop computers from Serra Hall, room 205; Copley Library; and the Legal Research Center.
USD offers 78 cable television channels through Cox Communications. Every residence hall room is equipped with cable television access and high-speed Internet access. The network supports most game consoles (on the wired network) and DVR type recorders.
USD’s MySanDiego (https://my.sandiego.edu/) is a secure web portal where students can register for, add, or drop classes online, check degree status, receive grades, pay tuition and fees, check for financial aid awards, and order transcripts, etc.
Emergency Alert System
A state-of-the-art campus emergency communications system from Blackboard Connect keeps students, faculty, and staff informed with accurate and timely bulletins in the event of a crisis.
