Kristen S. Montgomery, PhD, RN, Assistant Professor

Kristen S. Montgomery, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina. She received her doctorate in nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her MSN from The University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her BSN from Oakland University. Dr. Montgomery studied with Dr. Fitzpatrick during her doctoral program and has used the Life Perspective Rhythm Model in research. She has worked with Dr. Fitzpatrick on a variety of other projects and publications. She is Co-Editor of the Maternal Child Health Nursing Research Digest, and Internet Resources for Nurses, both of which received the American Journal of Niursing Book of the Year Awards, and Essentials of Internet Use in Nursing, recently published in 2002. Dr. Montgomery's research focuses on adolescent pregnancy and nutrition.
