The patrons of the Fine Arts is an organization focused on promotion and growth of the Fine Arts at USD. They seek to stimulate interest and pride as well as emphasize the cultural value of USD's Fine Arts programs.
Native American Festival/Museum/Arts
This is a weekend festival featuring a juried art show and marketplace, singers, dancers, and storytellers. In addition, there is an interactive replica of the Kumeyaay village of Cosoy . Also there is a different featured speaker every year. The mission of the American Indian Celebration is to provide services and economic opportunity for Native Americans as well as an educational experience for all who attend. The Celebration is free of charge, in order to make it accessible, and commissions are not paid on artists' sales.
The David W. May Indian Artifacts Gallery in Founders Hall
This gallery hosts showings that celebrate American Indian culture and traditions. It also features extensive holdings of the May Indian Artifacts Collection.
Various sponsored events such Church Nights at the basketball games with discounted tickets for men's games and free tickets to women's games to encourage the community to come out and see the Toreros in action.
