Giving
Parents and families are encouraged to support the University of San Diego at all levels of giving. You can be a part of student success by giving a gift of any size to a greatest need fund or a fund of your particular interest.
Parents Fund
Gifts to the Parents Fund support the university’s greatest needs such as: scholarships, the development of academic programs, the enhancement of campus facilities, career success programs and the retention and recruitment of esteemed faculty.
Torero Student Support Fund
This fund’s purpose of providing additional aid to students for tuition, housing, books or meal plans, prioritizes students in their senior year, who are experiencing financial hardship and are at risk of withdrawing and not completing their education at USD.
The Parents’ Endowed Scholarship for Community Engagement
The Parents' Fund Endowed Scholarship for Community Engagement helps fund the Scott MacDonald Community Scholarship Program. Each awardee receives $5,000 every year for four years. In exchange, they participate in the Mulvaney Center's leadership program and volunteer 280 hours of community service annually.
Grandparents' Scholarship Fund
The Grandparents' Scholarship Fund is an annual scholarship that is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid each year to undergraduate students exhibiting need. The fund was started by two USD Grandparents dedicated to student persistence and success.
Parent and Family Ambassadors
The Office of Parent and Family Relations coordinates a national parent and family volunteer program. Be an ambassador when it works for you.
The Parent Advisory Board
Enhances the student and family experience through peer-to-peer outreach, events, philanthropy to support students in need, career networking and mentorships for students and service work for USD and the local community.
The Parent Career Network
Offers students an opportunity in securing internships, summer jobs, mentorships and, best of all, practical experience they can take with them when they embark on their career search.
Torero Closet
The Torero Closet is a place where students in need can get clothing for interviews and jobs. By appointment, students can be outfitted with new and gently used clothing and accessories to fulfill their needs at no charge and in a private setting.
