Impact Linda Vista Initiative (ILVI) Call for Proposals - Fall 2025 and Rolling Cycle

By Leslie Racanelli

We are pleased to invite faculty and community partners to apply to participate in the Impact Linda Vista Initiative (ILVI), a program starting its twelfth year. Proposals may be submitted for implementation in Fall 2025 or for initiatives that do not adhere strictly to the academic calendar. In addition, ILVI can provide funding within three different tiers of support.

The overall purpose of ILVI is to bring USD students, faculty and staff together with community partners to co-create and develop innovative and sustainable collaborations in Linda Vista and beyond. These collaborations extend across a wide range of disciplines and academic units on campus, both graduate and undergraduate, and across multiple sectors in the community. They collectively aim to create positive and meaningful social change.

ILVI has six primary action areas: 1. Business and Economic Growth; 2. Education; 3. Artistic and Cultural Production; 4. Nutrition and Wellness; 5. Civic Engagement, Equity and Advocacy; and 6. Organizational Capacity Building. While ILVI prioritizes initiatives based in the Linda Vista community, where USD is located, we also support collaborations that go beyond the neighborhood. ILVI has been funded primarily through a grant from U.S. Bank since 2014 and is supported by the Changemaker Hub, in partnership with the Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness and Social Action.

For more information on past and ongoing initiatives, please see the Impact Linda Vista website.

Please contact us by e-mail to request the full call for proposals and to explore potential collaborations.
