Alumnus Keith Bogardus '99 (JD) Named Orange County Chief Assistant District Attorney

SAN DIEGO (November 3, 2022) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumnus Keith Bogardus ’99 (JD) was recently named Chief Assistant District Attorney by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

After graduating from the USD School of Law, Bogardus worked as contract counsel at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, followed by the Riverside County District Attorney before joining the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. In his 21 years since joining the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Bogardus has served in a number of positions, most recently as the Assistant District Attorney.

Bogardus has received multiple prosecutorial awards, including the United States Department of Justice Award for Prosecutorial Excellence.  He is the founder of the Criminal Prosecution Clinic at Chapman University School of Law, an FBI Certified Law Enforcement Trainer, and a certified Master Instructor by the California Commission on Peace Officer’s Standards and Training.
