Join the Department of Political Science and International Relations and the School of Law for a Constitution Day discussion with Fred Carroll, JD, USD School of Law alumnus and legal director of the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties. Carroll has spent more than two decades defending constitutional rights in federal and state courts and brings extensive experience in civil liberties, criminal justice and legal advocacy.

In this timely conversation, Carroll will examine how constitutional principles shape not only national debates and court decisions, but also the issues that affect San Diego communities every day. From civil rights and criminal justice to local government and civic engagement, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how constitutional rights are applied, challenged and protected in contemporary society.
