Madi (they/them) is a genderqueer actor, writer and improviser originally from Driftwood, Texas. Before earning their MFA from The Old Globe/USD, Madi lived in LA and was a member of Groundlings Sunday Company and a recurring guest in Groundlings’ “Joe Show.” Some of Madi’s favorite opportunities at The Old Globe have been playing Marcus in Titus Andronicus, Elbow in Measure for Measure, and performing their understudy role as Ginger Snap in Fiasco Theater’s Bartleby. While in San Diego, Madi directed a workshopped reading of their musical SWIFT ILL at Diversionary Theatre and is currently workshopping a solo-show based on their MFA thesis project, “Straight White Male Celebrity Working Through Something.” When not on stage or in the rehearsal halls, Madi can be found joyfully tinkering on their latest script, taking deep breaths on the yoga mat or watching their favorite TV shows, from Abbot Elementary to Widow’s Bay.

Actor, mover, singer. While her origins lie in Florida, Shalyn (she/any) has lived in many places and claims them all as home, as they’ve all left their mark. Shalyn has been asking “why?” since she began speaking. Her curious nature has carried her all around the world where she plays the sponge — absorbing every last drop she can hold, yet, ever expanding. Before earning her MFA in classical acting from The Old Globe/USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program, she received her BFA in acting from Millikin University. Her favorite roles at The Old Globe were Orlando in Orlando and Robin in Wolf Play. She also had the opportunity to understudy Toni in Appropriate and Lucio in Measure for Measure. Outside of the theatre, Shalyn is a self-taught film photographer, musician and roller skater. If you see her haunting a local coffee shop reading a play, she’d love to share a cappuccino.

Stephanie Hinck (she/her) is a Taiwanese-American actor and singer originally from Hanover, NH. A lifelong athlete turned performer, she brings the same curiosity, discipline and competitive spirit that once fueled her years in basketball, soccer and mixed martial arts to her work on stage. Before earning her MFA from The Old Globe/USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program, she received her BS in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Favorite roles at The Old Globe include Tamora in Titus Andronicus and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, in addition to understudying and performing as Helena in All's Well That Ends Well and Thea in Hedda Gabler with Katie Holmes. She’ll next be seen as Lady Macbeth in the upcoming Globe for All production of Macbeth. Offstage, Stephanie enjoys chasing sunshine at the beach with her dog Luna, Half Baked ice cream, watching reality television (it's character research) and collecting more jumpsuits than any one person rationally needs.

Susane Lee (she/her) is a Korean-American actor born in NY, raised in TX, and has spent most of her adult life in LA. Before earning her MFA from The Old Globe/USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program, she received her BS in psychology and minor in theatre from Duke University. Film/TV: Behemoth!, Madam Secretary, The Mindy Project, Snowfall, Rizzoli & Isles, Grey’s Anatomy, and Gilmore Girls. susaneLand, a dark comedy series she wrote and starred in, premiered at Sundance. Favorite roles at The Old Globe include Helen of Troy in Tiger at the Gates, understudying and performing Kisa in the world premiere of Keiko Green’s Empty Ride, and directing the student-led production of Hansol Jung’s Wolf Play. She loves practicing hot yoga, chasing white butterflies and seeking out the next inspiring story both new and old. She likes her chocolate dark (≥ 85%), like her comedies. She’s looking forward to returning to New York — Go Knicks!

Trevor Butler (he/him) is an actor and poet from Memphis, TN. He earned his MFA in acting from The Old Globe/USD Shiley Graduate Theatre Program earlier this year. He also attended Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts, where he earned his BFA in acting. Professional credits include work with Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre and Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA, and the Hollywood Fringe Festival. His favorite roles at The Old Globe are Cardinal Campeius in Henry VIII, Paris in Tiger at the Gates, and understudying Cory and Gabe in August Wilson’s Fences. Offstage, he's getting reacquainted with his inner child by playing video games, or listening to music on his iPod— no typo. He watches classic movies on Sundays, types out his thoughts and original stories on his typewriters, and is probably somewhere lining up the perfect shot on his medium format film camera as you read this bio.
