Congratulations to University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Alumni Board member Julianna Kat ‘16 (JD) on her recognition as a 2026 San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) Corporate Counsel Finalist. This prestigious award highlights her exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and contributions to the region’s corporate legal landscape.
As assistant general counsel at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, Kat provides strategic legal guidance that aligns risk management with overarching business objectives and fosters collaborative solutions while navigating complex regulatory environments.
Beyond her corporate role, Kat is a leader within the San Diego legal community and currently serves on the board of the Association of Corporate Counsel. A dedicated advocate for community advancement and professional development, Kat previously served on the board of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation, where she spearheaded initiatives aimed at expanding pipeline opportunities for emerging professionals and shaping the next generation of legal professionals.
