Marilee Bresciani Ludvik, PhD, is a distinguished leader in higher education with over 30 years of experience in academic effectiveness, institutional research, and accreditation. She currently serves as the Director of Academic Effectiveness and WSCUC Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) at the University of San Diego, where she leads university-wide efforts for accreditation success, academic program review, and the alignment of assessment with strategic planning.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Bresciani Ludvik held senior leadership positions including Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness at Loyola University Chicago and Assistant Vice President for Institutional Assessment at Texas A&M University. Her administrative expertise is complemented by her academic commitment. Currently a Professor of Practice in Leadership Studies at USD; formerly a tenured professor at San Diego State University and tenured professor and Chair of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas Arlington. She has authored 13 books and over 200 scholarly articles focused on outcomes-based assessment and the application of social and emotional neuroscience to learning.
A nationally recognized expert, Dr. Bresciani Ludvik integrates design thinking and mindfulness-based leadership into quality assurance processes to foster compassionate, high-achieving institutional cultures. She holds a PhD in Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction (Higher Education) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
