Nguyen has a bachelor's of science in chemistry from UC Berkeley. She spent 15 years as a chemist in the biotech and chemical industry before joining USD as a lab technician in the Department of Biology. After seven years supporting the teaching laboratories, she joins the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office as a department coordinator supporting the science departments.
