License/Certifications: Licensed Counseling Psychologist, California #34719/PhD; ABPP Board Certified in Counseling Psychology

Clinical Interests and Areas of Expertise: First-generation students, students who may have thoughts of suicide or beliefs that they do not belong or are a burden; students impacted by emotional distress, trauma, depression, or anxiety.

Theoretical Orientation: I primarily work from a culturally-informed space using interventions from acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive-behavioral approaches, and also incorporate other interventions depending on my client's values, goals, and needs.

My approach to therapy: I value the therapeutic relationship, seek to build a strong connection with my clients, as I learn from them and honor their strengths and insights. With a collaborative approach, my role in the therapy room is to 'walk' beside my clients, providing practical interventions as they develop an understanding of their values, learn from past experiences, and make choices in the present to create a beautiful future.

Additional Responsibilities/Designations: Outreach, consultation, supervision, and group counseling.

Personal Interests: I enjoy improv, exploring San Diego on walks or hikes, connecting with friends and family, watching movies, trying new things like martial arts, and more to come.
