USD has several lists of peer schools for making institutional comparisons, and the list used depends upon the purpose of the comparison. For example, comparisons for tuition and housing costs are generally made with other private schools in California. The Office of Admissions developed a list of USD's top undergraduate admissions competitors, both public and private, for comparing admit rates and yield rates.
Below are several lists used for undergraduate student comparisons, including the IPEDS Data Feedback Report. The third group group is used most often for comparing retention and graduation rates, as well as tuition, net price, and financial aid. It is also used for comparisons of staffing patterns, race/ethnicity distributions, and library holdings. View some of the comparisons here.
USD's graduate schools have comparison groups appropriate for their programs. Those groups are are not listed here.
