Sexual Assault Awareness

The Women's Commons collaborates with various campus departments, student organizations and local organizations to raise awareness about sexual violence and the profound impact it has on the USD community. We provide education and opportunities to take action throughout the year.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness Week is a time to support survivors in our community and come together to break the silence surrounding the issue of sexual violence. By uniting together, we will stand up and work to end the violence that happens everyday. Like us and learn more on our Facebook page!

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Throughout the month of October, the Commons collaborates with groups across campus to bring attention to the issue of domestic and relationship violence.  Past events have included; the Red Flag Campaign, Walk In Her Shoes, art exhibits, speakers, and panel discussions.

Campus Assault Resources & Education (CARE)

CARE provides support, resources and education to the USD community pertaining to sexual and relationship violence, and stalking. The CARE website provides detailed information ranging from resources available to those impacted by sexual or relationship violence to how to report an incident to supporting a friend.
