The concept of aloha ʻāina, which literally means “love of the land," is a Hawaiian central ideal that tells stewards of the land to treat and respect our ʻāina, our land, as if it is our family. In collaboration with People of the Islands student organization, come join us to discuss the current Mauna Kea protests and respecting land. Light lunch provided.

Collective Conversations is a discussion-based event series presented by The Commons (Black Student Resource Commons, LGBTQ+ & Allies Commons, United Front Multicultural Commons and Women's Commons). Each event will look at different aspects of identity from an intersectional lens with the intent to reflect and build solidarity amongst USD members, primarily students.
