International Education Week Comes to USD
Did you know that USD Ranks 2nd in the nation for undergraduate Study Abroad Participation? Or that USD hosts international students and scholars from 65 countries around the world? We invite you to support, experience, and learn about the rich and unique International culture and opportunities at USD, at this annual International Education Week, November 14-18, 2011.
International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the US Department of Education and the US Department of State to recognize the global exchange environment between the United States and other countries. International Education Week (IEW) includes programs and activities celebrating and promoting awareness of the many international educational opportunities available to the USD campus community. USD’s International Center established a university-wide committee to design a week of engaging campus activities to promote global awareness and international literacy. University-wide sponsorship for International Education Week events is made possible by: the International Center, Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, College of Arts & Sciences, School of Business Administration, Ahlers Center for International Business, School of Leadership and Education Sciences, School of Law, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, Office of Student Affairs and the Social Issues Committee.
