USD Celebrates Earth Day

USD student Karissa Hagen takes us through her day and shows us how she's doing her part to lessen her enviornmental impact.

April is Earth Month and to celebrate, USD is holding a special celebration on April 23 where we will recognize all the great achievements we have made in making our campus more sustainable. In the past year alone, the USD E-Waste Center has collected over 80,000 lbs. of e-waste (electronics, batteries, etc.), the Office of Sustainability has installed electric vehicle charging stations across campus, as well as coordinated an effort with Residential Life to bring awareness to the environmental impact that students have while living on-campus. That being said, there's still much more work to be done. To learn more, visit the Office of Sustainability website.

Join us on April 23 at 12pm in Plaza Mayor for all of the food and festivities! The winner of the USD One Challenge will be announced as well. The One Challenge theme for this year is "The Environment, Wasteful Production and Consumption".
