USD requires all students and employees to complete Sexual Assault Prevention training on an annual basis to promote healthier and safer campus environment for everyone. Additionally, the university is required under federal law (specifically, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act, also known as the “Campus SaVE Act”) to administer training on sexual misconduct and relationship violence to all students and employees on an annual basis.
The Preventing Harassment and Discrimination course is administered in accordance with state legal requirements (AB1825 and SB1343), which require all nonsupervisory employees to complete one (1) hour of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training and all supervisory employees to complete two (2) hours of sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training. The workplace harassment content has been combined with the Title IX content into one module to meet both training requirements.

Issues logging in with your USDOne credentials
For security purposes, an authentication process is in place for logging into the training. Once you click on the link, you will need to enter your USD login credentials. If you do not know your login credentials, please contact Information Technology Services at help@sandiego.edu or (619) 260-7900.
Technical Issues Within the Course
You can resolve most issues with one of these 4 steps:
- Switch browsers. Use Chrome or Firefox when you can instead of IE.
- Make sure your browser is up to date by visiting: whatismybrowser.com.
- Make sure to clear your cache and cookies
- If you seem stuck, your screen may be zoomed in too much causing you to miss a prompt or navigation button. To reset your zoom on a PC hit "control 0 (zero)" and on a Mac hit "command 0 (zero)".
Additional Troubleshooting Options:
- Close all other applications and tabs (i.e. iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Full Screen mode: For Windows, press F11. On a Mac, click “View” from the browser’s menu and select “Full Screen”. For Chromebook, press F4.
- Ensure your course is in its own browser window, not within a frame of the school portal or email client.
- Reboot the computer.
- If you are on a wireless connection, try a wired connection .
- Disable all popup blockers and 3rd party toolbars.
- Try accessing from a different network connection (computer lab, home, town library etc.).
- Try accessing at a different time of day (during your network’s off-peak internet usage hours, i.e. morning).
While the training is due for all employees, you may be eligible for a extension to complete the training. Please contact hrlearning@sandiego.edu to request an extension.
Once you complete the training, your completion will be marked in the training system and the university’s records. You are not required to notify the Title IX office of your completion. If you would like documentation of your course completion for your own records, you can print your completion certificate on the last page of the training.
